TALE OF THE TAPE
My party : 3 Fighters, 2 Bishops and 1 Rogue plus 1 RPC (Savant drone)
The enemy: 25 Rapaxes, 2 Golems, 4 Scorchers, and 8 Fire ants
I've been in every battle the game had to offer. What really stands out and gives me memories was this... When my party was level 11 and in the Northern wilderness near a tomb. The battle started with 3 groups; 9 Rapax patrols with 9 Rapax Samurais and 7 Rapax patrols again. After killing almost half of the enemy and reviving 3 of my characters from death, 2 golems came. RF8 the Monk which I recruited early in the game used a Canned Elemental (major earth elemental) to fight the golems. The 2 golems engaged my elemental in an epic battle while I was battling the rapax samurais and patrols. They would kill 1 member of my party; I kill 2 or 3 in return. A series of exchanges every round. If that wasn't enough 4 Scorchers and 8 Fire ants joined the Frey. WOW talk about variety and timing. The drama of the battle was so intense. I really didn't give up on it even though I was tempted to load the game again and avoid the encounter. What really made the difference was the Earth elemental. "He kicked ass" He pounded the golems to dust and diverted the Rapax samurai’s attention by killing a few more of them before being killed. The supplies I had with me; scroll of heal all, resurrection powders, eye for an eye potion, granite potion and lots and lots of pickmeup potions. Just seeing the Earth elemental and the 2 golems going at it was enough inspire me to put this post.

Any players out there have a memorable battle to tell? Let's hear it. Please put the TALE OF THE TAPE in your post so we can have a picture of what you were up against. Also include what made the difference to win.

There sure some great battles throughout the game. My current party is very similar with: 2 Fighters, 2 Bishops, 1 Ranger and 1 Rogue. This seems to be very effective and fun to use for a long time.
I'm thinking of a more polearm oriented party next, just to try the different weapons.

Uh, how did you fight Rapax in the Northwestern Wilderness?
I see you, like many of us, have seen the beauty of Summoned Elementals. The Lords that you can summon say they are on level 9, no creature is that powerful.

Congrats on completing the fight.

I ment Mountain wilderness not Northern wilderness. A slight correction I have to say. That's where you'll find the tomb right? After the waterfall you'll see it.

I know what you meant, you fight Death Lords in the TOmb. But I never fought rapax out there, only in the rift.

When I have been in the Mountain Wilderness, there have always been wandering patrols of Rapax usually around the tomb/circle of stones area. So did you mean that you have never seen the Rapax (except for the fixed battles of course) in the Mountain Wilderness, or that you have avoided fighting them? I guess I just found it strange that you would not have seen them there. But then again, I always seem to find a monster I have not seen in a previous game.
