Did you know you can get a level 5 pass from the Umpani before you have the 3rd one? Just rescue the irascible Sgt. Glumph before you get the quest. You can still get the 3rd by talking to Balbrak again and giving him the T'Rang artifact. You now have orders to go to training AND to see the General. I imagine you can get the 4th one if you make peace with the Mook, but I wonder how the T'Rang will take this.

I have the orbital coordinates the T'Rang want, wondering when will be a good time or if the deal is already screwy. I'm thinking of seeing the General before the training. Maybe you can get a 6th level pass before you get the third. Anyone tried this?

For those who try this, I recommend doing the Umpani quests in the right order, even if you have a higher pass. I lost out on the Training Quest by going to Yamir first. You still have access to the UTU scuba gear and the Rynjin tunnel, though. It also may mean I messed up the Alliance quest (that's alot of X points) because I didn't get the Mook offer. I saved a game in Rynjin but that was quite a ways back...live and learn.

I know I'm not getting any replies here, maybe because the tge web site has been down for a few days (I am skipping it to get here). I just want to say there is no combination that works if you save Sgt. Glumph too early. You lose 200K+ XP chances even if you try to do the Umpani quests in the right order. So even though I was standing right next to him in Rynjin, I had to leave him there. Bummer.
