I have place all three items in there specified temples, and am back at the start of the board. What now? I expected something to happen. What am I doing, or not doing wrong? Thanks

There's another path you've missed. It branches off of one of the ones you've already taken. The walkthrough will spoil it for you further, unless you want to search it out yourself.

From the AP fountain, I think the path starts through the NW gate for the finale. The tributary is easy to miss, but look for the red dots in black areas with X-Ray to get a general idea of where you need to go.
