what are dungeons for? the ones with runes puzzles.

None that I am aware of. I think they're there for those Old School Wizardry people, who spent Wizardry 1 - 6 crawling through Dungeons (Wiz7 had dungeons too, but wasn't restricted to just Dungeons) [img]smile.gif[/img]

Serpent feathers, if I remember are in Northern or Mountain Wilderness (where ever I am right now in the game, or possibly both). And Djinn Eyes you will find in the Umpani Caves, when they send you on a Quest.

The retro dungeons are useful for exp. points, and the one in the Mtn. wilderness contains a VERY worthwhile item for magic users, the amulet of Nebdar [nice armor class, sp regen, etc.], and several other nice items.

Serpent plumes seem to be harder to find on unpatched games. Available in Mtn. wilderness and Ascension peak.

Only one Djinn eye that I know of before Ascension peak, and its in the covert ops training area of Mt. Gigas: you must enlist and do some quests to have access.
