your help shall be appreciated. can anybody tell me about the savant ship quest that the trang gave to me.i.e. tell me what to do? where to go? what items shall be required etc. please tell me about the tracking device that is talked about in some of the topics here.what to do with it and where and when to find it?also tell em the exact location of general yamir in mt gigas.also tell me where is the shaman present when i return with the marten idols from m.b.. thanks!

Careful: the trang will ask you to destroy the Umpani ship, and if you do the Umpani will be permanently hostile. You wouldn't be able to do the exp. point rich alliance quest.

The tracking device is obtained as part of the trang/umpani alliance quest. This is the only way to attack the DS ship.

The General is in the northwest corner of the upper most Mt. Gigas caves [caves mind you, not the flight deck].

The idol is placed on the pedestal in front of a door that otherwise won't open, the Shaman will be inside. Its on the sixth bough, if memory serves, not too far from the bridge that leads to the Ratkin area.

welcome to the site. you seem to have posted a number of questions recently. i thought you might be interested in a pretty good walkthrough for wizardry 8 which you can access through volberding.com. this might be a quicker way for you to find the answers you are looking for without having to wait for a reply from someone in the forum. anyhow, please don't take this the wrong way or that i wish to discourage you from posting on the site; i just thought you might find the walkthrough helpful.
