Anyone know where I can get a copy of the Editor (not the one sponsored here at Ironworks) that allows you to edit your character's inventory? The site that hosted the program seems to have been suspended. Let me know if you know of a site, or a link.

The site at http://www.wizardryrealms.com/wiz8/cheats.shtml has a lot of editors, the trainers are just as good though, and they're ingame.

New question:

Has anyone here used any of the item editors from the above site and saw it work? I tried tinkling with the Cane of Corpus for example by removing the Cursed feature and then checked it in game. Nothing happened. Did the same by clicking a Gadgeteer to be able to use a Dragon Kite and checked. Same result. I tired loading a new game, erasing the item in possession and reloaded a new item, and all the same result. No changes were shown in the game.

Are the items hard coded into the game? Sort of defeats the purpose of an item editor, no? Oh well.

Using the site that True_Moose listed, the only one that worked for me was
w8edit.zip
The unusual thing is that to make it work your Wizardry game needs to be closed.
Open the editor, do your editing and click save & yes to "write to file"
Then open the game.

I think the w8edit.zip file is the one for hotkeys, correct? I don't think you can edit items in there. I'm going to have to play around and see what I'm doing wrong. Seems like the creators aren't answering their e-mails. ;)
