I have the Mook letter and returned to Arnika but I can't get the hollogram to trigger. What am I doing wrong?

Phoonzang 09-13-2002 02:36 PM

It should trigger right when you walk into the green area of the Mook building, you sure you have the right building?

Vis Major 09-13-2002 02:42 PM

I've got the right place but I'm doing this late in the game, if that matters. Also, could party make up affect anything? What about time of day (remembering W7)?

Phoonzang 09-13-2002 02:49 PM

I'm pretty sure neither of those affect anything. I know that if you have a Mook in your party, he will go visit his friends (or whatever) for a day. All you have to do is camp and he will return but that shouldnt affect the mook letter. If I remember right this comes pretty late in the game anyway. Do you have the latest patch installed? Im not sure if that was a problem before the patch but it could have been. Have you gotten both the Trang and the Umpani to agree to the alliance? Or maybe I have the wrong letter. Your'e talking about the letter for the alliance right?

Vis Major 09-13-2002 03:06 PM

My mook went visiting the first time I came to Arnika. The letter is the one for the Umpani task. I'm going to take the Umpani flag to the T'rang now and try the mook again afterwards since I'm just using portal between places now.

Hrmmm refresh my memory, what umpani task? The one for the astral dominae? If so I think you need to get the fake one first.

Its in the swamp where you meet Dark Savant, he drops it when he leaves. Just go into the Mook base and swap them out.

Wasn't there a glitch where if you camped too close to the mook building while a mood character 'went visiting', the mook stuff shut down permanently?

Never had a mook, just trying to remember what others have posted here.

Oru is right. But one of the early patches fixed that... what version of Wizardry are you running?
