So I say " Eternal Soul Survives the Soul" to the Shaman. He says good job and tells me to find Marten at the next bough. I've been all over the 6th bough and no Marten. Where is he ? Please help.
Also where is the Ferro located? I have not met him yet either. Well i'm off to kill Don Barleone Thanks for your help. jaspersej |
Marten isn't in the Tree, he's in the Sea Caves later in the game. What you're doing in the tree is acquiring the Helm of Serenity. To do so, you have to go up the tree to the Rattkin area, there's a door that can only be unlocked with the Key of Serenity. Pop that door open, go in, and poke around. There's a sign on the floor. Click on it, it'll slide away, and jump down the hole. You'll be able to get the Helm of Serenity. DO NOT LOSE IT.
After this, continue through the game (aligning yourself with either the T'rang or the Umpani) and eventually you'll be given an assignment that will take you underwater. Explore the Shallow Caves area thoroughly, and eventually you'll find Marten and the Destinae Dominus. Ferro is inside the Rapax Castle, within the Rapax Rift, and you'll have to fight your way to him. Lots of good loot along the way though! The Rapax Rift is past the Northern Wilderness (Umpani Base Camp is also connected to the Northern Wilderness). If, by some chance, you have a samurai in your party, make sure to explore the area thoroughly. The enchanted wakizashi (best offhand sword in game, not that there're a lot of options) is behind a waterfall with a lot of other stuff. [ 08-21-2002, 11:36 PM: Message edited by: Kerneth ] |
There's another Ench. Whackyslashy; PP or kill Antone. He has a huge drop list, though, so it may take a few reloads.

Wow! Thanks for the help. I've been to the Sea Caves and killed Nessie (no big deal) and the Rapax Rift. I'll have to see if I own the Key to Serenity.
When I get to doors that don't open I get the cryptic message "The shaman appears and he tells you to think of the Seventh Bough". I tried the tactic of killing all the Umpani. It got me to the top of Mt. Gigas, but I could not get into the Sea Caves. So I backtracked through my saved games to the point where I was about to kill the Umpani, and made nice. It worked out better, but duller. Thanks for the help. Jim Jasperse |
I like to kill all the umpani and t'rang after I make the alliance. the rhinos can drop some decent stuff, esp. arrows. There's also another way into the sea caves. Go to bayjin through the swamp and hit the shallows then the sea caves.
