The spell Hex.
mid level mental realm spell.
does anyone use it?
do they find it useful?
does it work in combo with other spells?
i.e. hex em first at power level 7 to lower thier resistances,
then smack em with a freeze all or a asphyxiate.
if so... do any combo's work particularly well?
any other novel uses for this spell?

reason why i asked is that my monk is absolutely chockers with
mental power, thanks to divine trap training earlier in his life
and high peity. i was using many other offensive mental spells,
but the low damage inflicted is making me look for other things.

Hex is a great spell, use it while you can.

Hex is lots o'fun. That's why i like the Dread Speer so much.

Hex is super: one of my most used spells last game, as one of my bishops didn't have much else [offensive] in her mental realm.

GREATLY enhances the odds of death wish, asphyxiation and other mass damage spells, seems to lower the damage done be affected enemies.

Is best, though, in combination with death cloud. Even pretty high level opponents like rapax samurai rarely survive the combo of level 7 hex and level 7 death cloud. Clears a room FAST!

To get an idea, look at your stats sometime when you're Hext; -20% on everything.

for some reason i assumed it was only physical stats, not things like resistances.

time to go a-hexin!

Similar to Orubis, I used hex in conjunction with the death bomb quite effectively. In the final confrontation with the Rapax prince, the above combo killed all of the surrounding army in two rounds. The prince and the demon child were a cakewalk after that.
