I'm playing as a solo sorcerer and wish to get a familiar to gain 12 or so extra HP. I can't however find anyone in Athkatla that will sell a find familiar scroll. I've checked everyone in the adventurers mart, the book keeper in Waukeens Promenade, the slums, the bridge district and even the helmites at Watchers Keep and no one seems so stock that spell. Do I have to just wait until I get it through killing an enemy that drops a random scroll, or can someone tell me precisely where I can find/buy one.

If I remember correctly, you can pick one up in the keep. After you go to the copper coronet you meet Aerie, then go to the keep. It is on the same level that you enter in, back where there is a forge(for use later). In a chest or something.

Have you tried the merchant in the gate district? I'm not sure - I finished my sorcerer game long ago - but I think he has got one.

there is one in Nalia's Keep. In the norhtrmost rooms of the groundfloor (near, if not 'in' the place where you find the first part of the flail)

AngelofDeath is half correct. You need to get Nalia (not Aerie) and then continue on her quest.

Oh, yeah sorry!! They are both so annoying, I get them mixed up!! It's in the keep, with the trolls..........There all fixed. :D

Thanks guys, it was indeed near the forge on level 1 of the keep. This scroll seems to be as rare as rocking horse sh*t. When playing as a mage, it can be selected upon character creation but thats a little pointless as a sorcerer as you only need to use it once.

No problem. Quite pointless for a sorcerer. My poor familiar spent the entire duration of my solo game in my backpack. I think I took him out twice, just to talk to him.

Aerie's just a little more annoying, though. *My wings, my wings, my wings* Deal with it. They're gone. :D
