I have been building a fighting kinda rouge. He will fight with a sword (primary) and dagger (secondary) close range and throws daggers at long range. But i noticed that throwing daggers do puny damage, the throwing stitello (sp?) is the only one worth mentioning with 8% kill.

Would u advice I change and equip him with a bow/arrow?

Also, I kinda want to use theieves dagger on the secondary hand. Since it is a cursed item...I cannot use it with bow/arrow...but I can use it with throwing daggers (since I can still switch primary).

I have my valkyrie use daggers, darts or sling. This helps to improve the throwing skill which is important when you throw powders and potions.

But sure, I also think it is very low damage. But sling can make KO's and pretty good damage, so it's not a bad idea to invest in throwing skill even if you don't cast powders etc with that character. Daggers are more useful in the monaster/road/arnika/road etc. In the beginning you don't get so good stones.

It could also help to improve dualwielding skill with the lord, or whatever character you wish to dualwield.

I would suggest maybe dualling thieve's daggers. The damage and stuff is awesome, and I really don't believe that you'll regret a few rounds with a little bit of damage as opposed to the huge damage from those. However, I'm not a big fan of the rogue and never played one for very long.

Rogue is a pretty powerful fighting type class. I would have him dual wield a sword and dagger, and to start the game dual throwing daggers and/or darts, just to build up the dual wield skill and throwing. When your dual is up there to the point where you're hitting almost all the time in melee, then switch over to a sling (which is also under the thrown skill), wirst rocket is cool sling type weapon and sling ammo is alot better and plentiful than the thrown weapons. Save the better thrown weapons for special occasions (like the stilettos).

I say to do this (build throwing) also because the rogue has no spells. When his throwing is pretty high, he should become the designated user of the bombs/powders you'll find (you'll find alot, horde the better ones for the rogue). Then he becomes 1/2 mage in a sense as he has the bombs/powders as his spells. And a rogue has access to some very cool swords and can backstab with them. The damage a really high level rogue can do with a good sword and dagger in melee is pretty impressive, rivals and/or exceeds fighters.

Also go for str/dex first with him, those are the most important for a melee type rogue. They are awesome in terms of dishing out damage.

Throwing weapons are very nice for a ninja. Much less for anybody else IMO. Mainly because they have a shorter range bows, and most monster range attacks.

As a side note, rouges can use most modern weapons. I think I'd prefer using a musket to a sling.

Musket ammo kinda sucks though and it's also not all that plentiful. Reason I say go with thrown is the ammo is pretty sweet, medusa stones and such. Plus having a spell-less character know throwing for the bombs/powders is a big plus. Ever had a rogue toss a death bomb at a group of rapax? Almost unfair If no one has that skill who would actually use the bombs/powders they get wasted.

sling is better because some of the ammo for the sling can kill in one hit.

bomerang shuriken is excellent for ninja. since you can always use it over and over again.
