ARG! After installing latest patch, Sgt. Rubble gives obstacle course speach at gunnery training and crashes game.

Will repatching help? Can I save my current game, re-install game and patch, and re-open the savegame? Do I need to edit out the speach somehow?

Tried offing the training dummies in case that would trigger the 'meet me in covert ops' speach, no effect. Tried getting the control console to open covert ops without talking to Rubble, no effect.

Am I screwed?

try installing other patches then. the one with 001b something.

Same thing happened to me...
The thing that worked for me was to leave the Umpani base camp after the obstacle course to the nothern wilderniss, and back before going to the caves... (I don't remember if I camped before re-entering). After doing this everything worked.

Alas, it didn't: I may have to give up on the alliance this time, access the seacaves via Bayjin, and eventually slaughter the Umps...
