My Fairy Ninja is an avid Cane of Corpus user and leads my entire party with kills using this weapon, however, her damage output is not as good as my Fighter or Samurai, so I thought about the possibiltiy of dual-wielding since she always has an empty hand free, and ninjas can't use any shields. There are a variety of fairly good off-hand daggers in the game, that a ninja can use, such as the Canezou Dagger and Sprite Dagger, but she has 0 dual wielding and 0 dagger, so it will be quite an investment to get her skills up to snuff, and during that period she will be less accurate with the cane. My question is, is it worth it? In the end, will the damage output be significanlty improved, (more swings = more crits) and is there an even better off-hand Ninja weapon that I can use instead of the ones I've mentioned?

Thanks in advance for any tips!

I found a perfect secondary weapon for a fairy ninja. Its called Rod of Sprites and it was dropped by Crag Sprites (not bad around lvl 26) in Mountain Wilderness I think.
dmg 6-18
to hit +2
init. +5
hex 50 %
staff&wand
I think you have to be very lucky to get this great weapon. I couln't believe it, when i saw it the first time...unfortunately i had no fairy ninja..just a fairy bishop..but he liked it too.

I huse a Nuchaku at the moment because I didn't find a nice off hand staff with the CoC. One thing you must take care is that if you have 0 in Dual you will loses a lot of potential out of the CoC.

I have my ninja specilized in throwing as well with Dual. This means I can dual throw and range very well with the critical bonus. And I must say my nijna makes quite a few instakill with a simple feather dart.

Build up your dual somewhat to reduce the penality. With throwing you can build it up nicely quite fast.

When I start the game, the ninja is using the fairy stick. I get him a Shillelagh ASAP. it's the only off-hand wand you can get in the early game. This way I get Staff&Wand and Dual Wield to improve. Nunchakas are nice, but they're mace&flail, so you don't improve as quickly.

After I get the Cane, I move the Fairy Stick over to the offhand unless I can find a Winterwand. They can be found in the Mountain Wilderness and they have 15% paralyze to compete with the 15% KO that Nunchakas have.

I'd say stay away from Sprite Daggers just because it's not in your best interest to have to learn 2 different weapon types.

My fairy ninja has been dual wielding from the start. Didnt think about the benefits though.

Winterwand is really good for the offhand. Some critters are immune to being knocked out, but I don't think any are immune to being paralyzed. And Winterwand is the same weapon group as the CoC, so you don't have to work on a second skill.

The sprites rod is also a good one, but it's a random draw. Winterwand is always found in the same place every game.
