I was able to "threaten" her into being friendly again.

You can also try using charm and other spells to get up her opinions of your party so she'll let you trade with her again, but unless you have a bard she dosen't exactly have the best store.

If an NPC shows as "neutral", you can often get them back to "friendly" with a bribe of some sort. Money usually works, or sometimes an item (make an offer they can't refuse ;) .

Of course, if you then try to steal again, well, I don't guarantee they'll stay friendly.

When I was doing the shoplift/pickpocket stuff, I always saved before making the attempt, and restored if my thief was caught. Boring, but safer.

I'd try charming her but I can't even get her to talk to me anymore! She just says something about 'Frigging aliens' and we're done. Can I force her into conversation somehow?
