any ideas? when you click on that middle rock, it tells you that some item is required. haven't seen any clues as to what that item might be.

Easter Egg! Try a plain old sword.

Also have a closer look at the circle of stones.

There are blue runes that need to be activated in addition to a longsword that needs to be inserted into the stone in the centre.

I have a question about this as well: I touched all the runes earlier in my game to see what would happen, and then I clicked on the rock in the middle. When nothing happened I left to do other things. Now that I'm back I can't get the runes to glow anymore, one of them is completely dark. Has this happened to anyone? Am I out of luck ? Also, I went back to my old save game to try out a sword on the stone when all the runes were glowing and it didn't work, granted I was using a Demonbane sword rather than a regular longsword, would this make a difference? Sorry for the long post-Thanks!

I believe that you need a plain longsword to make this one work.
