I hope not -- it is the reason I chose this Board over several others I looked at first. Search is a very important feature to me -- and it helps keep down the redundant threads also.

I'm sure that the search function will be reinstated once the board gets thrown onto the new server. I agree with Dale, the search function saves people from reposting questions that have been answered a long time ago.

don't worry. it will be back. a full function board is just as important to dan and all the others here at IW, as it is the rest of us.

they have gone thru tons of headaches to build the board of every cyber's dreams and archive everything from waaay back. remember, they didn't go thru all that so they could just throw it all away. :D

growing pains are uncomfortable and IW has been mushrooming sooo much in the last year. this latest move is built around making sure that they don't have to go thru this again anytime soon. so while it might take a while, everything will be here when it's done.
