i cant get wiz8 to recognize my external gamma settings with this game and it's too damn dark. I cant stand dark dungeons and wanna gamma cheat a little. Im not too up on this stuff but i have my adobe, hardware, 3dfx gamma maxed as well as the game gamma. im thinking my monitor is fked up because gamma seems to be lightening the lights but not the darks.

you don't say which drivers you are using for your V3. there are plenty of "custom" or "beta" drivers for Voodoos still being put out.
also, if you are using the last official V3 drivers, you may want to consider removing DX8 and reinstalling DX7. But of course, that's a hard road to travel down.... removing DX8 requires finding a program that will do that and then locating DX7. prolly on the BG2 cd, i believe. or any other game around that time will have it. i hope you get it worked out. it's a real pain when that happens. I use a Voodoo 3 3000AGP card, and works great! (except for the 16-bit colour limit, but humanly-speaking, probably couldn't tell the difference anyway).
Have you tried using the in-game Gamma setting? Under Options -> Video (pg 129 of the manual). [ 03-21-2002, 08:02 PM: Message edited by: Wolfie ] |
