It has been posted in the past that you can pickpocket Diamond Eyes from Shaman Das in Trynton. I haven't been successful at it. I get 3 pp's before he catches me, and I've tried it about 6 or 7 times with no luck, so I moved on.

Is this just a question of reloading a bunch of times? Will I eventually get it?

If you are using the latest patch (v1.2.4), then reloading will not work. I believe that for that version you will need a very high pickpocket skill to get Diamond Eyes from the Shaman. I tried it with a skill of about 78 and a Filcher's Band (+15) and did not get Diamond Eyes.

There is a Diamond Eyes that is always available in the Mountain Wilderness in a "house" under a hill. The catch is that a Death Lord lives there.

I'm still using the unpatched out-of-the-box version. I suppose I can make a trip out there (I'm still in the Umpani Camp). I can pick up those Hex Bagpipes while I'm out there.

Thats where I got my first diamond eyes.....second was at the death lord camp.

I don't have the new version of the patch....I love the ability to pick the stuff off the monsters. I have found some really sweet stuff off some of the npc's in Rapax Castle....Al-alydn<sp> specificlly.
