I've only been playing the game on normal so far. What is easy and expert like? Do you get less and more monsters? If you fight the same number, do you get less and more exp. because they are easier and harder to kill? Just how does this all balance out?

I'll take my answer on the air, Barry.

The manual explains the differences in the difficulty levels. Unfortunately, at the higher difficulties, there is no change in the experience you get for killing monsters. Which is why I've never bothered with the upper difficulty levels. Can't see working harder for the same amount of experience.

Silly misinterpretation. At higher levels you don't get any more experience for any single given mosnter, but you do run into higher level monsters that are worth more experience so you will get more experience on average throughout your game.

Not that this is the reason to play at higher levels anyway. You play at higher levels for the challenge, since the game would be kninda easy at normal settings.

Maybe so, but those higher-level monsters are worth just as much in Expert as they are in Novice. It's still extra work for the same experience. Now, if they gave, say, a third more for critters in the Expert mode, I'd consider it worth my time.

The expert level is a good way to test your sneak skill...I met 3 sors when I left Anika. My team's average lv was about 6.Their life was the same as my fighter and all can summon element. It is impossible to defeat them...
