Anyone else think the stalker is the most underated class in BG2.

Ive just reached level 12 with my drow elf stalker and he kicks butt.
Strength 18
Dexterity 19
Constitution 17
Intel 12
Wisdom 12
Charisma 8

I think thats right as im at work and can't quite remember how they are but im sure that is quite close.

He has a back stab multiplyer of up to x3 and hit points of a warrior with the dexterity of 19 his armour class is superb. He dual weilds celestial fury and blade of roses/daystar. His stealth ability is superb and with the shadow dragon armour the cloak of reflection, the ring of gaxx and boots of speed her is a total killing machine. With his racial enemy bonus on top of all of this he rules.

If any one can come up with an argument not to use the stalker I would be most interested to see their reasons why.

I have actually never played as a stalker.
But after hearing this, I might give him a shot!

i got a nasty lil killin machine of me own, orcs make great barbs, 19 str goes great with massive dmg, the best sword i have is that annoying talkin thing, but i got ** in 2 handed swords and 2 hand mastery. biggest hit i landed was over 40 dmg, which was my record until good ole yoshi knocked someone for a 56 dmg backstab. barbs are very sturdy, iw as thinkin of makin a dwarf barb with 19 con to see how much hps you can get.

With my stalker i had a 70 point backstab against a goblin.

How did you get 25 STR while still using the Staff of the Ram? I am assuming that you are a Kensai->Thief.

Oh wait... nevermind, I just recalled, you can use Draw Upon Holy Might.

I know this has nothing to do with the question I asked but, HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH BEING A MANSHOON. And what is a manshoon.

Only way to draw upon holy might in ToB is to download the baalspawn abilities pack. (I hadn't got those at that time) My critical melee attack record was with a pure level 40 kensai who could whack for around 50 dmg *without* a roll of 19 or 20.

I duelled a kensai - > thief at level 18 IIRC, and he got 25 strength by wearing a symbol of Lathander and quaffing a potion of storm giant strength.

As I recall, you're stuck being a Manshoon until you hit 300 posts. I have no idea what it is either.

My Damage record is 144, from BG1. I think she was a 6th level Fighter, Dualed to 8th Level Thief. With 19 STR, 3 stars in Small Sword, and a Critical Hit Backstab Quadruple--against a MAGE--she got a wee bit of blood on her armor.

Not sure who he was but I think he was an evil mage of some sort. Memnoch will tell you if you ask nicely ;)

You'll level up at 250 to a drow warrior I think.
