Just wondering what some people's opinions are on the following strat for a char:

Create an Alchemist, learn the Stamina spell (along with any other spell), then switch immediately to a Bard.

Net effect, a Bard who can cast Stamina on himself when he runs low (and Itching Skin ain't bad either). Considering how fast the Bard maxes himself out, a level or 2 lost for the ability to essentially double his stamina ain't a bad tradeoff i think.

Don't see how it could hurt. Maybe later on if you train the bard in bows, when he does max out you can go to ranger and pick up alchemy again as well.

Well, Learning Stamina isn't really all that necessary. That's what a Bishop is for, You can get the rest all spell rather quickly. Or you could keep Vi and have her use stamina.

What a Bard can do with an instrument can be more helpful than Vi is (usually),

The other thing could be, pump Dex and STR (or VIT) with your bard, give them more stamina to begin with.

The problem is, you're wasting a round casting this spell that you'll never be good at. If you spend only 1 or 2 levels as a Bishop or Priest just to learn stamina, you'll be casting it at that level for the rest of your career as a bard... and you'll be able to cast a 1 power stamina at best... and that doesn't help at all.

Make your bard female, give her the Amulet of Endurance, pump STR or VIT instead of INT to give more stamina. If you have a Gadgeteer using stamina as well, a bishop helps out fine just casting rest all.
