Encountered Ferro once. Didn't have enough Gold to make a decent purchase, and when I came back, he's nowhere to be found.

Ideas?

Also, I've got the "key" to the staff, but can't seem to use it.

If you battle near his shop he fill fight as well with you. He can be slained by another group of Rapax. If he is not in the shop he is gone. With it all chance to get marvelous stuff.

Reload at the point where he was alive.

Ice is right: reload if you can. Others have had this problem too. Ferro is just a little too eager to beat on his friends, and can be killed by them if you're not careful (or even if you are).

Thanks all. I'd hate to tell you how far I'd have to back track to get to that point. I saw him run out of the room, but didn't realize at the time that he'd been whacked. MIght take it back anyway.

If you're still having trouble using the staff key, you have to place it directly on the keyhole, not just anywhere on the wall.

You have to walk around to the back side of the thing to find the keyhole.
