Thanks to all for previous help.

I have the king's key and deposit slips from the queen. I can't find the portcullis key or the rod for the portal (I found the portal) and I can't find the shimmering wall. How do I get into the king's treasury. I found it, just can't open it.

The rod for the portal is in the queen's chest (ornate rod). As you walk around the upper castle, you'll come to a room with raised design on the floor. Stand on that, and you'll get the portcullis key.

For the other items in the treasury, find the constable in the cellars. Pickpocket or kill him for the Constable's Key. That opens a safe in his office upstairs that has the remaining slips.

You don't have to open the king's treasury -- just use a deposit slip in the tube to your right when you are facing the "safe" and your item will appear inside the area that looks like it needs to be opened.
