I just finished the retro-dungeon near the cemetary, and came out with a vampire bat wing. In trying to figure out what to do with it, I did a search here and discovered that it is a part of a special armor (not one of the ones that Antoine makes though).
My question now is "where do you find out about things such as this"? I.e. how does one get a clue as to what that bat wing could be used for. Right clicking on it does not say much. From past experience, I am immediately suspicious / curious about any item whose use is not apparent<G>. |
When you right click on something, it gives you a hint. Up the top, if it says gadget then keep or ditch it (depending on if you have a gadgeteer). If it says instrument - then ditto with a Bard. If it says OTHER, then it is wise to carry it about for a while to see who in the game you might need to give it to.

Later in the game you will meet another rapax mercchant named Ferro. Just ask him about custom items when you meet him.

Dale, unlike Wizardry 7 where they had a number of items that just weighted you down without having any benefit at all, Wiz 8 has a reason for each and every item you can pick up with the exception of clothing -- some randomly found clothing items are completely useless (Magnetic Boots, Rubber shoe, etc).
Anything else if you can pick it up you can assume there is a use for it somewhere (with the possible exception of a particular item you can pp from Fuzzfas, which no one has yet figured out the use for except to make people laugh ) If you don't have a gadgeteer in your party, however, the gadget items and music items are only good for selling. Any body part dropped by a monster you can assume is used for one of the custom items made by the two Rapax - just ask them about 'custom'. Extra body parts can be sold to He'li in Arnika at the Tavern. |

BTW, how do you get that picture onto your Signature? |
Ferro is in the Rapax Castle, beyond the Rapax Rift. It will be quite some time before you're ready for that area. Hang on to that vampire wing; they aren't always easy to come by.

Jem:
Dead frog riddle has been worked out :D Find the 2 slices of bread, the slab of butter & the strawberry jam. Merge the Butter with the Slices of bread then the jam then the frog. And you come out with a jammed fwoggy sandwhich which when eaten poisons & nausease effct on your whole group & gives the effect of a previously unknown effect called Enemy Gross Out. (effect makes all enemies nausease & fearful). :D If anyone takes this serious please dont its just for a laugh. |

I chose one called 'kitty1' which, when placed between two colons, gives me the nice graphic. |
You can also place your own pics if you upload them to a webpage of your own like my sig and use the UBB codes to link the graphic to show up.
