100 int = Power Cast

What does the other maxed out abbilities give?

vesselle 02-14-2002 06:30 AM

~~gothmog~~

Attributes over 100 confer the following:

STR: Power Strike~~ abitlity to strike a weapon so hard, it has greatly increased chance of penetration.

INT: Power Cast~~ ability to cast a spell with such force that it increases the original effectiveness and duration and makes it more difficult to resist.

PIE: Iron Will~~ Strengthened mental and physical will that increases the char's resistance to such things as magickal spells and side effects of phys attks (paralysis, fear, etc)

VIT: Iron Skin~~ Strengthened mental and physical will that allows a char to absorb dmg, reducing actual phys dmg done to her. This skill has NO effect on magickal dmg, however.

DEX: Reflextion~~ Increases a char's A/C by allowing the char to move so fast that a double image is created.

SPD: Snakespeed~~ Allows chars to move with lightning reflexes increasing their personal initiative.

SNS: Eagle Eye~~ The ability to successfully hit and penetrate a creature with a ranged weapon.

V***V

EDIT

PS:
once you gain one of the expert skills, you can raise it at every level up also, just as you could with the attribute which unlocked it in the first place.

My Mage has gotten that, and it goes up nicely with practice.

But my Bard has 100 in SENSES and did not get Eagle Eye -- any idea why not?

Dale - Your bard must have an item that is giving him that 100. Your character has to have a natural 100 in a stat in order to receive the opportunity to start learning an expert skill. Pluses caused by items don't count.

She is angry at you for calling her "him" <VBG>.

I think that she does have a rogue's shield, +10 sense, equipped. I'll check on that next time I start up the game.

Thanks.

Sorry about that -- I should have clarified that I was using 'him' in the traditional gender-neutral singular sense of the word that used to be implied before all of this PC feminist nonsense has made us switch over to 'them' for gender-neutral singular.

At any rate, my apologies to your lovely bard. :D

She's named after my daughter who was a bassoonist in high school.
She accepts your kind thoughts :)
