Before I installed the patch, the game kept crashing. Now that I've finally installed the patch (it shows v 1.2.4 when I log into the game), the game still crashes. What gives?
Have I done something wrong? Sure hope I don't have to start over!

2) what happens before you crash?
3) how far in the game are you?

There was an issue with that I have seen posted that the patch files do not overwrite the existing files because they are read only. Check your files in the root directory for the game and make sure they are not set to Read Only. Then reinstall the patch.

If you search, you might be able to find a better description of what to do.

The game generally crashes just after a long protracted battle.

I just finished the spaceport in Arnika, and was on my way to my next destination when I was accosted by some Savant guards. Just after I finished the battle and was preparing to save the game, it crashed.
