Bard and Gadgeteers are nice to have around: unlimited Heal All, unlimited Insanity, Hex, ArmorMelt, etc... But problem is that they have low and "limited" stamina.

So I am deciding to change them into fighters so thay can get higher stamina regen. But, what is the highest possible level requirements of the items?

Both Bard and Gadgeteers are currently level 16.

the two highest level bard items are level 18
(the ones that casts cerebral hemorhage (sic) and nuclear blast)

i just gave my bard a robe of rejuvenation that can regenerate stamina. love my bard though .. definitely my most flexible character. she talks to people, keep everone rested during camping, pickpockets, opens locks, wields the light sword and light shield for melee, casts heal-all, nuclear blast, silence, pandemonium whenever needed. she does it all.

there are 2 lovely female only lockets also that offer stamina regeneration.

plus, you should consider pumping up the VIT on your bard. VIT adds HPs and STAM both. besides the expert skill for VIT (when you reach 100) is Ironskin. it allows her to absorb much of the phys dmg done to her, which of course cuts down the physical damage. Crucial skill for her to have. :D

i see no need to make your bard a fighter, because she already is one. she dual weilds daggers or swords or a combination of the two.
if you have been allowing her to toot her instruments AND throw in a couple of physical strikes in each round of a battle, she should be rocking by now!

mine has:
close combat 29
dual weapons 37
sword 39 (with +10 bonus from item)
dagger 27

music 88

so with the special swords she is using, and her music, she is absolutely great!

Never change your Gadgeteer's class. His Omnigun gets better and better as he levels. I fininshed the game without getting the last updgrade at level 26. If you need stamina try adding points to strength or vitality.

I plan to change my bard to a fighter at 18 for the reasons already mentioned. Really, there’s no reason not to. If you have a high music skill at 18, you’re bard will never really improve beyond that point.

I agree with MaskedFrog on gadgeteers, though. They continue to upgrade their omnigun until 26, and I don’t think they make as good fighters as bards anyway. I’m not sure how you’ve trained your gadgeteer, but in my groups the gadgeteer is always in the rear as a shooter/support character, not a frontline fighter.

It's not only the further upgrades: If you class change the gadgeteer you won't be able to use your Omnigun anymore. ;)

In assention Peak,Long range shooting is needed in the battle,so Gadgeteers Omnigaun is very useful in the point of using various ammo and accurate aiming at long distance.

Back to the original Stamina Regen question. It's pointless to change to a fighter for this reason. The stamina regen only helps you in battle when you defend... using items will still use just as much stamina.

If you want to change, find another reason because putting points in PIE, VIT and STR will raise your stamina just as much no matter which class you are.

And let's not forget some of the nifty items that Gadgeteers can use, such as NegatAir, Vaporizer, and Microwave Gun (pistol?).

In any case, the above post is right: you might just as well keep your bard a bard, and work on building up st, vit, and pie for stamina.

hehe.. I must have been thinking on the Short Term. Thanks for the tips.

I also found out that I can solve the Stamina problem by simply using that Invigorator Belt (Superman). I now have almost TWICE as much Stamina and regains more Stamina per round as well. =) I had it on my Ranger (using Tripleshooter), on Gadgeteer and on Bard. Works very well!

BTW. I just killed Nessie. On the 2nd round, Gadgeteer made a great shot he KOed Nessie and she slept till she died. It was an easy one way fight.

Dexter (gadgeteer) sure has a meangun while his sister Deedee (bard) plays nice melodies.
