Gothmog Lord of the Balrogs 02-08-2002 05:54 AM

Good mornig to you all.
Currently I'm in the Rattkin tree ready to slaughter the breeders. Have Vi and Myles in my company (MAge, Psionist, Bishop, Fighter, Ranger and Ninja). But are those two my ideal travelling companions? I gave Myles bloodlust and a posin dagger, and all of a sudden he really starts to kick some monster butt. He's the mail killing machine in my party at the time, backstab and berserk at same time it appears, did over 100 in damage in one round pluss poison and he is onle level 8.

Well the point was not to brag about Myles but to get some pointers to which npc's I should get! Vi is a disapointment so far. Madras the gadgeteer? Have a ranger more need for melee damage! Any good advices?

Thnx

Hi there!!
Get the Cane of Corpus to your Fearie Ninja from Don then you have one more killing mashine! Remember to save before you fight Don it is not alavais he drop the Cane of Corpus if not do then loade the save and trie again!I think you maby shall change your Bishop to a priest because they learn "Divine" spells mutch faster than an Bishop!
And later on you get RFS-81 an he is a killing machine to, so i would dump Vi Domina when you get him, this guy in your party! And he newer leave the party like Myles and Vi only place he lave the party is when you enter the "Away camp" but he will stay put there you live him so it is only to pick him up later when you have finnished the A. Camp in SE, Wilderness!

Drop RPCs! Play only with your 6-guy party!... is my advice.

Sorry Megabot, I am prolly half asleep, but... how did you guess his Ninja was a Faery ?

If you're going to keep myles give him a Thieves Dagger instead of a poison dagger, and if you're going to play with RPCs, RFS-81 is indeed the only one worth it, because...
M

J

S

E

... all the other RPCs will refuse to accompagny you willingly to about half the areas of the game

I disagree with Vi being usless. She is weak in melee the first few levels you have her but putting points into str, dex, polearm, and close combat and she becomes very useful. I forced her to come with to Bajin and teh shallows and although she didn't like it much, with the dread spear she was still quite useful in combat and hit almost every time. Myles on the other hand, will go to so few palces on his own that I don't think he's worth it. I vote for Vi and NAS 81 (R2D2).

I've really enjoyed using urq the mook.I kept him a psionc for a couple levels and gave him every book he could use to beef up his spells. But shortly after I went ranger with him,A powercasting mook with a giant's sword and eagle eye bow ain't bad.
