I don't know if this strikes anyones fancy, but there are a few critters in this game I really like. Feel free to add your own.

Mites - they don't do much damage but I like just watching them move and make their little sounds when you pulverize them. Something about their little mouths and odd shape are just weird.

Picahs - they look like large kiwis with velociraptor legs and a swordfish beak. They also make a unique sound that makes them fun.

Killer Kubes - one of the most ridiculous creations in the game, and the sound they make had me ROFL. It also made me think about how artifial the beasts are to the programmers, you can make a beast construct, give it fighting stats, add sound bites etc. Appropriate for a retro dungeon, they are laughing at the whole thing.

I like the Higardi Bandits/Highwaymen. It's funny how they kind of strut towards you like Charlie Chaplin in a fight, and that half-smirk expression on their faces is just as amusing. I've grown to like them so much I don't kill them anymore (silly me), but just run away (they eventually lose my scent).

Like the Siges, too. They're actually quite beautiful when you look at them up close. And they're soooo feeble I again can't bring myself to kill them. [img]smile.gif[/img]

saffy has always intrigued me. it is absolutely scary (encountering my first in the demo, released on Halloween Night). but completely fascinating. it's all mouth, right? so where exactly do you go, when you are "swallowed"?

Papa, a coupla Mommies and scads of Babies. they are SO cool. they seem so real. plus, in my games, they stay yellow to me, unless i attack or come VERY close. it's like they just want to be left alone.
LOL! they also remind me of that toy.... you know what i mean. the drinking birdie toy! :D

My faves are the Psi Sharks - I love those electrical sparks travelling along their tentacle (or whatever it is!). Gives me something to like about them as they massacre my party. [img]smile.gif[/img] Nessie is kinda cuddly too.

In the Rapax Zoo, there's a fishtank that contains a marine turtle of sorts. Is this a one-off, or are these found in the underwater sections? Just never seen one myself, is all.
