I just finished Bayjin (I will go back and kill Nessie later - not strong enough yet).
I found a power pack on the beach in the swamp. What do I do with it?

Also, the walkthru doesn't address going back to LMB and the spaceship quest. Any help.

Never found a use for the power packs. It might be amunition for some random item.

It used to be ammo for the Frontier Phaser Pistol in Wiz 7 but someone told me that Jan-ette dropped one of those in 8 and he'd been using it without any powerpaks for awhile like it was a permanently-loaded weapon so it's anyone's guess as to whether they are actually used or not.
