Well I'm looking for the different elements to make the special items. One that I'm desperatly looking for is "Wood Spirit Staff", some says you can find it in Trynton, but I killed and slained all over and over again, no "Wood Spirit Staff". All these suckers drop is casual items, grrrr... Any other place where I can seek for it?

Only place I've seen one is Trynton, and then only the first time through. I believe it was one of the set fights with tree type monsters. There was one at the first building after the zoo area, and then a second fight in the fourth bough I believe - where you need a blue marble to enter. That's where I got the drop on my current party. But I think I got em at the first one with my previous party. Sold em with that party and ended up in the boat you're in now.. Went back and couldn't find anymore.. Suppose it's possible those mosters would load randomly in the area if you hung around enough, but haven't seen it happen myself.

The actual item you need to turn in is called 'Spirit Staff' Which, of course, drops off the Wood Spirits.

The willow saplings, in the building near the zoo (where you get the zuzu petals) drop the spirit staff....but not always. So it's important to save the game before fighting them. In a couple of different games, I've had to take them out four or five times before one dropped the staff. But the ebon staff is worth the effort.

if you are still looking for this, i got it by pickpocketing the shaman after obtaining marten's idol.

I found one when I killed the tree saplings in the Armoury on the fourth bough. You have to pick it up as soon as you kill the monster because it disappears before the end of the fight.

Well, suzyrav2002, I think that's not true, I wouldn't even have noticed the one I found if that happened. Maybe you waited a bit too long? Hmm, I don't think items disappear...

As for the Spirit Staff. Any of the Spirit type mobs that you can run into in trynton has a chance to drop one. You can also run into these type of mobs in Ascension Peak.

Confirming this "bug".

Killed one sapling and the item appeared. Moved away to kill another and when I came back it was gone.

If the staff you found was laying on the ground, it is not the one. If it is standing straight up, that is it!
