...Your party can never fly. Unlike, say, Might & Magic 6: The Mandate of Heaven.

In wiz 8 you dont need to fly because the game is well balanced and that is it!! If you can`t play the game as it is then your a looser like my Mage tell me ha ha ha!!

Plateau of Singapore? Bukit Timah or Mt. Faber? :D :D :D

You can fly (limited flight) for 15 seconds from some parts of Upper Trynton Branchs to Trynton. :D :D

That's not flying, that's dropping.

Someone around here came from the Plateau of Leng (a place in H P Lovecraft's novels). So I thought it would be fun to say I came from the Plateau of Singapore. Queenstown, to be exact.

To Megabot:

I'm doing perfectly fine in this game, thank you. I merely thought it would be so much more fun if you could fly. Don't you agree it would be?

I think it would be cool if my ninja could totally flip out, and kill like hundreds of people in the game and not even think twice about it. Then start wailing on his electric guitar.

Alas, Sir-Tech failed to design the real-life REAL ULTIMATE POWER that ninja's possess into this game.

Still, I enjoy the game for what it is.

But flying was totally broken! You could fly over dragonsands and in mid-air dodge the incoming fire while taking out the dragons one by one, retrating one step when threatend ... fun the first time but basically a complete exploit which made dragonsands and all of the "a" areas where the titans and other super-monsters were to be found almost risk-free.

Well, it's not just fun as a strategy for monster-bashing, it's also fun in its own right. All the unusual new angles from which you can view a scenery... It would be so nice to fly near the top of the tower in Arnika for a closer look, or among the upper branches of Trynton (yes, so I can get right up to the %$#$%@ sprites and rip them into sushi)...

Ah, well, guess it's just too bad you can't fly in W8...

Worse than party can't fly: FAERIES can't fly!!!

A solo Faery or a party of Faeries should be able to fly, or at least *NOT* take falling damage and hover a few feet above the tusks of a Brute Hogar.

K T Ong 02-05-2002 05:21 AM

Come to think of it, it doesn't make sense, does it? What good is it having those nice butterfly wings if your faerie character can't fly with them?

Good to know there's at least one fella around who sympathises with me. Even though he's a Viking. :D
