Noticed the cave ins in mt gigas? There are holes on the floor where either you fall down to another tunnel or simply fall into a pit with ropes on two sides..

1. How do you manage to go down the pit without getting injured? I could not get a hold of the ropes and the only option is to fall down and grab the rope on the other side... very risky as oftentimes I dont get to grab the rope.

2. How about that hole where you literally drop down to another tunnel ? I could not climb back up and that tunnel has no exit.

This wont be much help but at least I replied :D
1. I just copped the fall damage. My bard then healed everyone.
2. Not sure of the hole you mean but every hole that I have fallen down I was able to either climb out of or find an exit. No special items needed.

There is a way out of that hole. Keep searchin for a lake, there is a rope-ladder, that leads back to the upper tunnels.
