If DJ's Locker turns out to be a lot of junk items, do i need to go back to a save before I went underwater to reset the chest?

I went to a save before I had killed nessie and just ran past her and the chest was the same, and I portalled out and came back and the chest was the same.

I have a save outside the underwater area on the beach. If I use this will It generate a new chest if I go back to that save and go down again?

Also do the Bucaneer Ghosts drop light swords?

Yes you need to go back to an early save, before you ever entered the area to reset the locker.

And Yes the buckaneers do drop *light* *swords* and unlike the locker the drop is determined when they die not when you first enter the area.

I'm curious. You refer to when they die; do you mean how fast or slowly I kill them? What is the determining time length?

As an fyi I reloaded a game 3 times from the beach at Bayjin. Killed Nessie twice and ran past her once...the same junk each time. Bad luck I suppose :(

You just have to try and try. I saved before entering the Shallows, and had to kill Nessie 3 times before I found the sword I wanted.

About the same junk three times. Are you sure you haven't entered Nessieland earlier, from the Mt Gigas for example ? The DJ is set the very first time you enter the area.

All I ment about the Buccaneers is that if you do not like their drops you can reload to just before the combat, no need to reload to before you entered the area (unlike DJs)

Good call and total user error on my part. The first time I entered was from Gigas but I was getting killed by the psi sharks. I leveled a bit and reentered from Bayjin. I didnt make the connection even though both areas clearly state "entering Bayjin shallows". LOL

I seem to have the worst luck in gaining random items. The only good sword I have is bloodlust but I don't use it since I can't switch to a ranged weapon. Also I sold some of the items needed for custom pieces before I knew about them. Doh!!!!!!!!
