is there any reason for wearing special armour for, say samurai, or women?
kabuto just as good and heavy as mail coif, , there is better general leg armour than 'special samurai leg armour', those bras'+2 aint that good if compared to mail steel armours;
is it just for wider variety or i miss something?

Look at the waigth! your caracters fight better if the waight is low the lover the better (Loosing stamina if the load are to havy)

yah! weight is seriously important!

esp for the Blonde Brigade... and not just cuz they are concerned with their girlish figures. ;)

but mostly because we have rogues, samurai, rangers... who all need as much speed as you can give them! best way to utilize speed is not wearing anything cept lightweight armor (or "special") and never carrying more than about 40-50 lbs of stuff per person.

we lug around arrows and stones in the group inventory and pots-n-powders in the personal one.

makes SOOOOO much difference!
