Last night I was busy wiping out the away camp. As usual with any major battle I cast element shielda and soul shield. My part gets hit by magic missiles and everybody except my Psionic takes a few points of damage. My psionic takes 20 plus. I found this very odd and went to look at my resistances and found my divine resistance was a 1?!?!? I manage to win the battle having to resurrect my poor psionic in the middle of the battle. I then look at my resistance without the soul shield and I am over 100. This means that there is a magic max number that if you excede it wraps back to no resistance. Now I have to do the mad scramble to remove items that have a divine resistance and find replacement items. (I had items on that added +80 divine resistance.)

I am wondering if anybody else has noticed this problem.

Yesssssssss (as Z'ant says)

I have noticed that problem too.

Mental resistance of the priestess of my previous game drops from 100 to 28 after casting soulshield.

I even posted it on the official support forum:
http://www.sir-tech.com/cgi-bin/ikon...um=7&topic=123

But no response from Sir-Tech.

There is a bug with mental/divine resistance, but it only affects characters with very high Mental/Divine resistance (Maybe the rollover occurs at 255 ?) so not many notice it

I guess that means for the time being we have to juggle our invetories lower those resistances so when we cast soul shield we do not have a problem.

Yeah, if your new devine resistance was 1, I would guess that lowering the resistance by 2 by equipment swapping will do the trick.

What I did was to cast soulshield at a couple of power levels below max, and had it cast by a character who didn't had the Powercast skill.

It sux though.

The resistance wrap is a documented bug that was fixed in one of the patches. If you're still suffering it with the latest patch, email bugs@sir-tech.com.
