I've already done the cemetary dungeon and the trang base. Im in the umpani caves and spent a good deal of time searching around the northern wilderness for the trees with runes on em. Couldn't find em. I see several patches of mushrooms starting after the pressure plate chest and am wondering how to access them. I tried for a long time to figure it out myself but im getting frustrated. Any help would be appreciated.

Far as I know, there's nothing special about the mushrooms in the Gigas caves. The pressure plate just opens a secret room with a chest a little farther along.

For the Northern Wilderness dungeon, the runes are all on pine trees, and only on one side of the tree. Three are close to the ruins where the bandits hung out. The other three are on a line northeast from there, ending up with the pine tree on the little island in the lake.

You will need an ordinary short staff that goes into a rock near to the bandit ruins. The fairy ring will appear nearby.
