Any one ever put a "Hit" on some one with Don Barlone?

I was thinking of doing it just wondering what the resaults would be.

No, though he apparently put one out on me.. after I killed him. I'm still trying to figure that one out. But I had plenty of gold (and not much use for it with my pickpocket skill), so I just paid off the goons sent to whack me. I would be interested to hear what happens though.. I kinda wish I hadn't killed him now, but after all the trouble I went through in doing it (I didn't find out until a little later what I was supposed to say to his goon to get in w/o trouble), I just couldn't bring myself to reload before the fight and take away my accomplishment.. He was not easy to bring down for me at level 9 or 10..

heh...before I killed hte Don, I had a few extra Gold (500,000+), so I put a hit on Dark Savant. The Don said he'd see what he could do. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Can you still finish the game if you kill the Don before you meet the Dark Savant in the swamp?

Yes. It doesn't seem to matter if you've killed the Don or even if you've ever talked to him. At some point you will encounter the DS in the swamp and he'll have his little temper tantrum.

Yes I know, but how will you get the *real* AD if you kill the Don before the DS drops his?

If you kill the Don, he'll drop the AD, whatever has happened before.

I got the "hit," too, but I figured that those boys were simply surviving as a unit with some lower level hood in charge. I don't recall 'em ever mentioning the Don.

I've killed the Don in his room in the Rat Tree, mainly to get the Cane of Corpus (great weapon!). The AD is a little bonus. Does anyone know if killing him this early in the game "breaks" the storyline and makes the game unfinishable?

No problems Mark - off him as soon as your team is capable of doing it.
