Will my fighter just wig out, or do I have to make him do so. Is the drawback a lower AC?

Once you're in combat take a peek at the icon next to your character that looks like a sword. when you click on that icon it will give you choices for your attacks. One of these looks like a bunch of arrows radiating out from a central point. this is the icon for berzerk. Just click on it and your fighter should start whacking for more damage. Oddly enough I haven't found any disadvantages to doing it yet. My fighter seems to get hit much LESS than the rest of the party while still hitting the enemy about as often as everyone else. Suppose I'll have to try NOT berzerking for a while and see if he hits more often/gets hit less. But I'm sure someone else will have that answer far more figured out than I do.

I have noticed no difference in the amount my fighter gets hit, but a big difference in the amount he hits.
I'd say I hit about 1/4 less often. j |
My fighter hits a little less often but does much more damage. A berserk fighter with a good sword can do 100+ per round at level 10 or 11 and 200+ at level 20. My second time through I selected Beserk back in the Monastery and never took it off. Yes he misses now and then but Oh, Baby! when he hits it's glorious!
