This might be a spoiler topic, so you were warned! I forgot were I read it, but I read that you could merge crossbows together and make a double and a triple shooting crossbow. I've tried to merge them in the game but I either get no message or "Items cannot merge". Maybe I misread how to do it or maybe I'm delusional and just thought I read this somewhere. Any help?

has to be done with a gadgiteer and they have to have a spefic amount of engenering skill to do each one (double = <brown>35</brown> and tripple =<brown>90</brown>)

and on a nother question, what color is the backroud for this board?
IM trying to get the text to disapera until its selected..., doesnt seem to work

ya just imagine a heavy tripple shot crossbow. doing +40% damage and shooting 3 times...

Are there any other weapons that can be merged? Any other items? I had only tried merging on gadget type items before....

I have heard that you can merge two daggers together to make a double strike dagger.

Sometimes I really dislike games that do not give you any clue as to which items can be combined together. The gadget type items are obvious and few enought that it is not too annoying but the other items and potions are just insane. It really gets boring trying all those combinations.

Wow, just goes to show that there is no accounting for taste. I have the completely opposite oppinion. I can't stand games that make everything too obvious, that seems boring to me.

Also, someone else posted that the triple shot bow requires 90 engineering. I think it's quite a bit lower. I used Madras to merge mine and he made a triple shot for my bard with only ~75 in engineering.

uhh.. afaik, you can't use "brown" on this board. mostly cuz it doesn't match the color actually here. check out "View/Source". always a lovely "source" of info on how an html doc is constructed.

BUT... i dunno if that's the default background only in case the jpg for the texture doesn't load or if it refers to the posting insets. would haveta do more scanning thru the code. :D

i think its the bg only, because, if you notice, there are 2 shades of brown used alternately, like most forums.

Has anyone else got the "double strike dagger" merge to work? I have got my Gadgeteer (50+ Engineering) to perform the merge and ended up with something that has no name, can't be used by any race/profession/gender, and is worth only 1gp.

Did my Gadgeteer just bollocks it up or is there something dodgy going on?

I used two normal daggers.
