Ok so I race up to the Don and go to attack him for the cane and doh he's 20th level and immune to magic. :(

So what level is safe-ish to attack him for the Cane, or if you go the pickpocket route, what level of PickPocket should I have before attempting to steal it off him?

If I do go a pickpocket route what level of pickpocket is acceptable to start to Train the skill at?

The easy way is to kill him i have done that in 2 diffrent partyes if you have an Samurai or Ninja you can count on that one of them give him an "Critical hit" an he dies right out he he and you get the Corpus and A.Dominae.
Picpocked him is almost inpossible i trie that with an skill 80 but that dosent work!

The Cane... I went there with my lone faerie ninja, thinking that with a pickpocket skill of 100 it'd be no problem to steal it from the don and then beat him with it >) However, after approx. an hour of trying, I gave up. I stole lots of stuff from him, but no cane. Near the end, it said that there's nothing else to steal, so I just got fed up and threw him full of death stars.
I heard that it's possible to pickpocket it from him.. but that wasn't my experience. (Oh well. I missed out on Anna's electrodes, too... She just won't sell'em to me.)
But you can get -lots- of nice stuff from him (like amulet of asphyxiate, chamail pants+2, etc). Worth a try [img]smile.gif[/img] (I found only one other npc which had that much stuff to steal... Lorrac in Arnika.(surprise! What was she doing with the bipennis I stole from her, anyway? :D ))
