How well does Madras stick with you? Are there just a few places where he won't go? I'd like to use him to try out the Gadgeteer but I'd like him to be a permenent party member (not leaving everytime I go to a new area.)

i haven't taken him with me, but i know Trynnies.... they are a bunch of chickens. i think everyone except the umpani scare them, so i wouldn't think that he will stick with you for too long.

no one does tho. everyone has their own likes and dislikes and personal prejudices against other races. i tell myself they are temporary and enjoy them while they are with me, but never get dependent on any one rpc, too much. :D

i DO really like RFS, as he will go almost anywhere and always stays whereever you put him. Vi is pretty good that way, too. plus she's strong and the plot kinda involves her, so to my way of thinking, it's cool to have her around.

They are the two that I normally take. I was just hoping that I could try out a full blown gadgeteer using an NPC. I think I'll give it a try.

you should try them all ::nods, smiling:: even tho no one goes everywhere, its a great way to see all the classes and how they work.

i think i have tried everyone in the first 2/3 of the game... oh except for the t'rang samurai. but i have plans to run back and grab him next. LOL.

enjoy yourself. that's the main thing!

Vesselle, do you know if there's a list anywhere of which RPC won't go where? It'd make it somewhat easier to figure out if you're wasting your time building up an guy who's about to disappear just when you need him/her most.

Personally I find the idea of RPCs disappearing on a whim annoying and doesn't add to the gameplay at all for me, they're just XP leaches who you can't plan on and this game's hard enough already.

~~kragorn~~

here's an older post with some info.... i hope it helps out!

btw, be sure to read the whole thread, as some posters add additional places certain ones won't enter :D
