I am soloing as a sorcerer but don't have any spell. The only ones I have are my special abilities but these aren't the ones I chose at the load up screen. Where are they?

The smartass in me would ask: "Have you rested yet?" ;)

You can't cast any spells if you haven't rested yet.
Otherwise, I don't know. It might be some weird bug...

Ever played as a sorcerer?? tehy dont have to memorise spells...
They should be able to cast them straight off. Go to <marquee behavior="alternate"> Baldurdash </marquee>
And look for a patch to fix ur problem...

even sorcerors have to rest to get their spells back. you star off without any spells, no matter which kind of spellcaster you play. so yes, you absolutely have to rest in order to cast spells.
