anyway, short of killing him, is there a way? [img]tongue.gif[/img] we ran around the outside with detect secrets on, and it looks like there might be something, but we can't figger it out! wah!

I believe killing him is the only way... one trick you might want to do... worked with the priests in the Wilderness... pull a monster in Crock's area (if they will go in), which will force him to hopefully either move forward to attack, or turn around and flee.

Either way should allow you to then get passed him. If bugs will go into the room anyway.

i tried luring some things in there... got some ants to go near the door, but he didn't move.

i ran next to him, hoping that they would target both of us... but nada.

i guess he's gonna haveta die. anyone who smells as awful as he does deserves to die! LOL! you look at him lately? methinks he hasn't bathed a day in his life!!

Don't kill the Crock! He is involved in the plot later in the game and is a good source of XP (not from killing him). Let him live. The stuff in his back room is not worth it.

I am very interested in this plan of attack. Are you saying he didn't move at all? The ants might not be enough of a lure but maybe the wasps might get his attention. Oh goodie more Wiz 8 fun to look foward to.
