Hi, just a few Wiz 7-8 import questions for you lucky people with the game.

Do any *decent* weapons transfer? I'm thinking of more mid range weapons, like great/elven bow, bushido blade, spear+2/spear of death, rather than muramasa blade/excalibur etc. I'm thinking of taking one last party through 6 and 7, and i'd like to know what will transfer so I can work towards it. A rough list would be good, if one exists. :D

Also, if these weapons don't transfer, do they still exist in Wiz 8? For example, if there's no elven bow/cane of corpus, do you really need an elven ranger/faerie ninja, or will other classes work as well? Thanks for any help. [img]smile.gif[/img]

My party from 6 and 7 is desperately waiting for the postman next week too. Did my final saves yesterday. So unfortunately I still have no direct experience, but this is a topic that is of high interest for me too, so I searched everywhere for answers. First, here is a quite huge list of items in Wizardry 8:

As you see there is nearly each elite weapon from 6/7 available, but unfortunately it seems that items like Muramasa, Excaliber, Light Sword and such won't transfer. From what I read on several boards Elven Bow, Stun Rod, Nunchaka, Sai, Mystery Ray, Jazaraint Tunic, and some more mid range weapons/armor will transfer. I wanted to make a list and stored nearly each kind of weapon/armor in the Abbey...dang! Seems not as save as I thought, after a few hours training in the Crypt there were only the Mystery Ray and 2 rings left, all my other stuff had vanished. :(
I was hoping for some information about different starting locations depending on the ending of our Wiz7-party, but no one answered to that post yet.
