Although I'm still waiting for the game here in Europe,
I would like to know,if my Veterans of the Crusaders of Dark
Savant quest would have all their goodies (lighth sword etc.??)
and their stats?
I would be rather dissappointed,if they weren't.
And where will they start the quest?

Very few "high-level" items carry over from the old game, and their stats are commeasurate with that of 5th level characters. However, it does give a bit of a "leg-up" when starting the game.

The starting point is determined by whom you allied with in the last game (i.e., Umpani, T'Rang, or on your own / Vi Domina ).
