I have been lurking for awhile on this board and I have a question I haven't seen answered yet. My front line is two fighters and a ranger, and I never seem to get more than one of them in melee distance at a time. When fighting, I walk up to them and only one of the fighters can reach the enemy at a time with his sword. I have tried to move them to other positions in the party, but nothing seems to work. I want my fighters to gain sword skill in battle, but the one on the right never seems to be in range. If someone could share their party formation secrets, I'd be grateful!!!

When the battle begins do a walk, you might not even have to move.Looking at your radar screen when you do this reorientate your self.I personally don't use the north end of the circle, just a personal preferance.I have my two strongest attackers in center,on left and right my next best in front with a ranged attacker behind on each side, and my spellcasters in the southern section.

Thanks!! I'll give it a try tonight. I am using the northern part and thay may be my problem.

Hi there,

Forgive my obvious suggestion, but...

You might also want to make sure that you click the check mark after you reform your party. I've changed my formation several times (or so I thought) only to realize that it didn't take because I hit the "X" button.

Usually a dialog box opens saying something like: "Your new formation will take affect after the next turn."
Also making sure that your members are close enough to the enemies. For some monster parties, I always creep as close as possible to ensure that they are in range of all of my fighters.

Dan
