I've been carrying these acorns around for half of chapter 2 - now I've forgotten who and where to give them to.

you find some dryads on the Windspear Hills map (you get the quest from Jierdan Firkraag in the Copper Coronet)....if i remember correctly, the dryad's little grove is towards the bottom center of the Windspear Hills map. give them the acorns and reap the xp

Refer to your characters Journal. It's a great tool! It lists your quests in order of which they were assigned to you. Make sure you view them by "Date" so it's easier to understand.
