I don't have a Gadgeteer in my party and at this point, don't know if I will ever change one of my characters. Is it better to keep the gadget items (just in case) or should I get rid of them?
Thank you. |
I have the same situation - I'm also carrying around instruments and don't have a bard (was considering changing my Rogue but he's already level 11 so I decided against that change). Sometimes it is very difficult to figure out whether or not you should be hanging on to these things.
I did recruit a gadgeteer from Trynton at one point in the game and figured he might be able to make use of the items. Didn't during the time I had him with me. Now I'm wondering if there may be a bard I might want to have come along at some future time. Except for Vi, and don't ask me why, I'm rapidly getting to the point where I don't really like recruiting others into the party. Had this same problem when I was playing BG2 (briefly). I guess I just prefer to stick to my own party and not have all these recruitable NPCs hanging about. (shrug) Wyv |
I think I'm going to hang on to my items for awhile, maybe find a safe place to store them (if there is a safe place out there).
I agree with you Wyv. I have both Vi and Myles in my party and Myles for some odd reason just stands there when in combat mode and doesn't fight. I've tried moving him around to a different formation, but he still won't fight. I do like Vi. |

But if you want a bard just to check one out, head north to the Umpanis and recruit Saxx! He's totally cool...a jazz saxophone blues-playin' Umpani bard. Kind of sounds like a delta blues musician.
