Guys, i got quest from a T'Rang guy in Marten's Bluff, and know I must go to Mt.Gigas!!!! TO FAR, do you know any faster way to get there? (sry for English)

In Lower Marten's Bluff, if you've explored past the door with the T'rang appendage print, you should have come upon a T'rang replicator room. Follow a newly cloned T'rang out the door and to the next room. You'll need to fix the portal unit eventually if you want to use it for three other destinations, but the one it's stuck on appears to whisk you to the Umpani base. Save first just in case it's random, heheh..
